Dr. Kim McKinney, current Principal of Grand Lakes Junior High, has been announced as the next Principal of Tomball High School, replacing Chris Scott who has recently accepted the promotional opportunity to serve as Tomball ISD’s new Director of Athletics.
Following the recent retirement announcement of Tomball ISD Director of Athletics Kevin Flanigan, Tomball ISD announces current Tomball High School Principal Chris Scott has accepted the promotional opportunity to serve as the District’s next Director of Athletics. This transition will become effective at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
Tomball ISD has selected Mr. Kevin Williams to lead as the inaugural Principal of Tomball West High School, which is set to open its doors in August 2026.
The 2025 Tomball Reads Week is here!
Tomball Reads Week will take place from March 24- 28. This district-wide event promotes literacy and fosters a love for reading among students and staff.
The theme for this year is "One District, Many Stories!" and will include a variety of activities designed to engage students and staff at all grade levels. Social media engagement will be encouraged using #TomballReads.
Tomball ISD Fine Arts has expanded its musical offerings for elementary students through the implementation of handbells.

Tomball ISD students took part in the district's annual Battle of the Books competition. At the secondary level, Creekside Park Junior took top honors with Creekside Forest Elementary winning at the elementary level.
